Glendalough State Park, Battle Lake, Minnesota

A roof made of tin. Four walls covered in copper screen, which over the years had turned green with age. A 4-poster bed made with cedar posts stood in the middle of the floor. Upon it, a mattress stuffed with clumps of cotton and covered with an old hand me down quilt made many years ago. When the skies would turn grey, the clouds would billow up, and rain would begin to fall. My girl and I would walk through the woods to our secret hideaway and lock ourselves away in our own little world, where we would cuddle, listening to the rain and then at the right moment make the most passionate love ever known to mankind.
