- 1 ½ lbs OKRA FROZEN, CUT
- ⅔ c CORN MEAL
- ½ c FLOUR ALL PURPOSE
- 1 tsp SALT
- ¼ tsp PEPPER BLACK, GROUND
- ½ c SHORTENING

Method
- Thaw okra. Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge okra in mixture.
- Fry in large cast iron frying pan on med high heat for 10 minutes turning often or until golden brown.
