BRAISED BEEF AND NOODLES

- 1 ¼ lbs BEEF DICED, LEAN, RAW
- 1 cup WATER
- ½ cup ONIONS FRESH, SLICED
- 3 Tbsp CATSUP
- 1/8 tsp PEPPER BLACK, GROUND
- ¼ tsp THYME GROUND
- ¼ tsp GARLIC POWDER
- 1 BAY LEAF WHOLE, DRIED
- ¼ c FLOUR ALL PURPOSE
- ¼ c WATER COLD
- 1 tsp SALT
NOODLES
- ¼ lb NOODLES EGG
- 1 qt WATER BOILING
- ¼ tsp SALT

Method
BEEF
- Place beef, water, onions, catsup, pepper, thyme, garlic powder, bay leaves and salt in stock pot. Bring to a boil; reduce heat; cover; simmer about 2 hours or until tender. Skim off excess fat. Remove bay leaves.
- Combine flour and water to make smooth mixture; stir into beef mixture. Blend well. Return to boil. Reduce heat; cook 10 minutes or until thickened.
METHOD
NOODLES
- Add noodles to boiling salted water; return to a boil; cook 8 to 10 minutes or until tender; drain thoroughly.
- Add cooked noodles to beef mixture. Stir well.
