BRAISED LIVER WITH ONIONS

- COOKING SPRAY NONSTICK
- 454 g BEEF LIVER, RAW, SLICED,
- 1 c FLOUR WHEAT, ALL PURPOSE
- 1 tsp SALT
- ½ tsp PEPPER BLACK, GROUND
- ½ tsp PAPRIKA GROUND
- 2 tbsp SHORTENING
- 1 c ONIONS FRESH, SLICED
- 2 c WATER

Method
- Lightly spray skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Dredge liver in mixture of flour, salt, pepper, and paprika; shake off excess. Brown on a 375 F. cast iron skillet.
- Overlap slices in pan.
- Sauté onions in shortening or salad oil until tender; spread over liver in pan.
- Pour hot water over liver and onions in roasting pan, cover.
- Bake 30 minutes in 350 F. oven or until liver is fork tender
