  • COOKING SPRAY NONSTICK
  • 454 g BEEF LIVER, RAW, SLICED,
  • 1 c FLOUR WHEAT, ALL PURPOSE
  • 1 tsp SALT
  • ½ tsp PEPPER BLACK, GROUND
  • ½ tsp PAPRIKA GROUND
  • 2 tbsp SHORTENING
  • 1 c ONIONS FRESH, SLICED
  • 2 c WATER

Method

  • Lightly spray skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Dredge liver in mixture of flour, salt, pepper, and paprika; shake off excess. Brown on a 375 F. cast iron skillet.
  • Overlap slices in pan.
  • Sauté onions in shortening or salad oil until tender; spread over liver in pan.
  • Pour hot water over liver and onions in roasting pan, cover.
  • Bake 30 minutes in 350 F. oven or until liver is fork tender
