  • 1 ½ lb CARROTS FROZEN, SLICED
  • 2 qts WATER BOILING
  • 1 tsp SALT
  • 4 oz BUTTER
  • 1 tsp GINGER GROUND
  • ½ c SUGAR GRANULATED
  • ½ tsp SALT

Instructions

  • METHOD
  • Cook carrots until tender
  • Drain; reserve carrots for use in Step 5.
  • Melt butter in a large cast iron frying pan; add ginger and stir until well blended.
  • Add sugar and stir. The mixture will resemble a thick roux.
  • Toss carrots in sauce until well coated; cook 5 minutes, tossing occasionally.
