- 1 ½ lb CARROTS FROZEN, SLICED
- 2 qts WATER BOILING
- 1 tsp SALT
- 4 oz BUTTER
- 1 tsp GINGER GROUND
- ½ c SUGAR GRANULATED
- ½ tsp SALT
Instructions
- METHOD
- Cook carrots until tender
- Drain; reserve carrots for use in Step 5.
- Melt butter in a large cast iron frying pan; add ginger and stir until well blended.
- Add sugar and stir. The mixture will resemble a thick roux.
- Toss carrots in sauce until well coated; cook 5 minutes, tossing occasionally.
